Position Summary The HR Generalist is a key member of the Western Europe (WE) Human Resources team, responsible for delivering day-to-day HR support across Yarzin-Sella’s multi-state operations with a strong focus on recruitment and onboarding. This role partners closely with the Regional HR Manager and HR Business Partner to attract top talent, create an exceptional new hire experience, and execute core HR functions including employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. They serve as a trusted resource for site managers and employees, ensuring a positive employee experience grounded in Yarzin-Sella’s family-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
- Create and post compelling job descriptions across job boards, social media, and industry channels
- Source candidates through multiple channels including referrals, job fairs, and community partnerships
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate candidate interviews with hiring teams
- Manage candidate communication and ensure a positive, timely experience throughout the hiring process
- Track recruitment metrics and maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems
- Support high-volume hiring for new site openings and mobilizations
- Build talent pipelines for key culinary and hospitality roles
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
- Own the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring every new hire feels welcomed and prepared
- Coordinate offer letters, background checks, I-9 verification, and new hire paperwork
- Ensure completion of required documentation and compliance with state-specific requirements
- Conduct engaging new hire orientations that reflect Yarzin-Sella’s culture and values
- Partner with site managers to ensure smooth first-week experiences and 30/60/90-day check-ins
- Continuously improve onboarding processes based on feedback and best practices
- Support onboarding logistics for new site launches, including coordination with Operations and Culinary teams
Employee Relations & Support
- Support the Regional HR Manager and HRBP in employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation
- Assist with performance management processes, including tracking reviews and coordinating improvement plans
- Help facilitate workplace accommodations and leave of absence requests
- Promote a positive, respectful workplace aligned with Yarzin-Sella’s values
Compliance & Policy Administration
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions
- Maintain and distribute employee handbooks and state-specific addenda
- Track required trainings (harassment prevention, food safety, etc.) and ensure completion
- Assist with workplace poster compliance and labor law updates
Benefits & HRIS Administration
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries
- Administer leave programs including FMLA, state paid leave, and company policies
- Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS and personnel files
- Generate reports on headcount, turnover, recruitment metrics, and compliance
- Support payroll coordination by ensuring timely and accurate employee changes
Offboarding
- Process separations, including exit interviews, final pay coordination, and offboarding checklists
- Analyze exit interview data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Maintain accurate records from hire through separation
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of HR generalist experience with demonstrated recruitment and onboarding responsibilities
- Experience in food service, hospitality, or multi-unit operations preferred
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing through offer
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across multiple states
- Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms; familiarity with systems like hibob, comeet
- Strong understanding of onboarding best practices, benefits administration, and employee relations fundamentals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment supporting geographically dispersed teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience recruiting and onboarding hourly workforce in food service or hospitality environments
- Familiarity with state-specific requirements such as paid sick leave, meal/rest breaks, and scheduling laws
- English is a Must have; Other languages- great advantage
