About The Position

We are looking for a Regional Human Resources Manager – Western Europe based in Paris (On-site position) to be part of our growing expansion in Europe!

Acting as the main and only POC for HR related in the region, reporting to the Regional Manager and the Global VP HR, the role will be responsible for owning all HR/People Operations functions such as recruiting, employee onboarding & offboarding, compensation & benefits, performance reviews, compliance, and employment laws, and implementing policies and employee programs in Western Europe locations including Spain, France, Netherlands, Germany and other countries.

The Regional HR Role involves overseeing and managing human resources functions within a specific region to ensure alignment with organizational goals, compliance with local regulations, and effective talent management.

This position requires expertise in HR strategies implementation, policies, and practices to support a diverse workforce across the region.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for HR compliance, HR filings, reporting.
  • Work with managers to navigate wide-ranging employment related matters from hiring and recruiting issues, performance management, investigations, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, terminations, and employee related support of the global human resources team.
  • Responsible for building a strategy and roadmap for HR tooling and practice guidelines to support and implement policies and procedures to establish and enhance HRIS/HRMS, to create and maintain a high-quality central HR function, including appropriate systems, and processes, including the use of metrics and people data to inform key decisions.
  • Provides support and guidance to Regional Manager and operation’s team members when complex, specialized, situations arise.
  • Available to all employees regarding various issues, complaints, requests for benefits, questions and suggestions.
  • Advises site managers and account managers on HR policy, legal requirements, miscellaneous issues, and acts as a mediator when necessary.
  • Initiates and maintains good relations with management and external partners (Labor inspection, work medicine, payroll advisors, social offices etc.). Liaises with site managers to establish their recruitment needs, ensuring that they are in line with the budget and activity forecasts.
  • Implement organization training goals for leaders and employees
  • Ensure that training and orientation of all employees occur to meet legal requirements as well as industry/company training.
  • Evaluate and create & Professional Development, Retention and Employee Engagement Program
  • Responsible for Onboarding, Termination and Payroll Management
  • Partners with the global leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and professional development programs creating alignment with Yarzin-Sella strategic initiatives
  • Works in partnership with the different site managers and Chefs de Cuisine to establish employee engagement and team building initiatives.
  • Lead diversity & inclusion initiatives within the organization.
  • Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes in human resources, talent management, and employment law


Requirements

EPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to be a good communicator
  • Ability to adapt to new tech systems & processes for purchasing and receiving.
  • Discreet with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations.
  • Practical knowledge of employment laws, regulatory, and compliance matters.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for interface with all levels of Management, both internally and externally
  • hands-on role, requires a self-starter mentality
  • Ability to be proactive and creative
  • Exceptional communication, writing, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Expertise in performance management, coaching and mentoring.
  • Degree required/master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources/People Operations
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Experience working within the Hospitality, Food and Beverage industries
  • Experience working in/scaling a start-up environment is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in global working environment
  • Prior experience administering payroll is a plus strategic people-leader with proven HR generalist experience, who can be proactive, think ahead and future-proof an organization for scale
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment etc.)
  • Possess policy creation/management such as vacation and rules/regulation
  • Experience with Culture, employee counselling, development, and improvement.
