We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Food Safety professional to join our Eastern Europe team and support food safety operations across multiple countries in the region.

Mission

As the Food Safety Specialist for Eastern Europe, you will support and coordinate food safety and hygiene activities across multiple operational sites in the region. You will work closely with operational teams to help maintain compliance with local regulations, company standards, and global food safety requirements.

The role involves supporting audits, training activities, operational improvements, and food safety monitoring processes while gaining exposure to regional food safety management practices.

Key Responsibilities

Food Safety & Hygiene Management

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of food safety management systems (HACCP, FSSC, internal standards) across sites in Eastern Europe.
  • Assist in monitoring local food safety regulations and support compliance activities in each country.
  • Participate in internal audits and follow-up on corrective actions together with operational teams.
  • Support site managers and kitchen teams in maintaining food hygiene and safety standards.

Workplace Safety and Risk Management

  • Assist in maintaining health & safety procedures and Risk Assessments across operational sites.
  • Support training activities related to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety.
  • Participate in site inspections and operational reviews to ensure compliance with company standards.

Quality Control and Improvement

  • Support supplier quality monitoring and product quality checks.
  • Identify opportunities for operational and food safety improvements.
  • Assist with reporting and tracking of food safety KPIs, bacterial analysis, and safety-related incidents.

Foodborne Illness Risk Prevention

  • Support the implementation of food safety procedures designed to minimize contamination and foodborne illness risks.
  • Assist in maintaining updated protocols according to local regulations and operational needs.
  • Promote awareness and best practices related to hygiene and food handling among operational teams.
  • Support investigations and corrective actions related to food safety incidents when required.

Regional Coordination

  • Coordinate with site managers and operational teams across multiple countries.
  • Support regional food safety projects and follow-up activities.
  • Assist in preparing reports related to food safety and compliance activities.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene principles (HACCP, ISO, GMP, etc.).
  • Experience working in food production, hospitality, catering, retail, or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SOPs, audits, and food safety documentation.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong willingness to learn, grow, and work in an international environment.
